Lisa from Local Table sent the following notice about an upcoming CSA Fair at the Farmers’ Market.
Some very exciting news. Local Table, the Nashville Farmers’ Market and WRLT’s Team Green are going to host a CSA Fair on the evening of Wed., March 18th, 6-8 p.m. at the downtown market. This is not a farmers’ market, but a chance for the public to meet you and learn about your farm.
As you know, many consumers still are not familiar with the Community Supported Agriculture program and/or just moved to town and not sure where to go. This event will give a short program on the history of the CSA program and how it works. The bulk of the evening will be for the public to visit with various farms to learn about their operations, pick ups, prices and to meet you. It’s a chance for you to show off your farm with photos/videos, lists of things you’ll have through out the season – maybe even a sample basket or box!
Team Green is going to promote the event to both their members and to the public at large via the radio station. Jolie Yockey, Marketing Director at NFM and I will be outreaching to other local media to let the Nashville area know about the event. This is open to the public at no charge and there is no charge to you. Tables will be provided. However, space is limited and spots are available on a first come, first serve basis. This is for produce and meat CSAs only and you must have pick ups in Nashville and Franklin.
Please let me know if you want a space and then we’ll get back to you with load in and any other details.
Let’s work together to grow our local food community!
