Healthy Farms, Healthy Rivers Symposium – March 9th

Save the Date for our “Healthy Farms, Healthy Rivers Symposium”

On Friday, March 9th the Compact will be hosting a FREE one day event gathering people from around the Middle-Tennessee agricultural community to discuss how our Tennessee farms are connected to our rivers and streams, and how landowners can promote activities that are mutually beneficial for both their farms and their waters!

If you are conventional farmer, organic farmer, new farmer, or other landowner, work at a farmer’s market, or are a restauranteur or other buyer of agricultural products, we hope to see you at this event! We will have several speakers on topics such as soil health, personal experiences with switching to sustainable farming practices, and more; roundtable discussions for networking and idea-sharing; and we will also be providing information on some new funding sources for landowners wishing to implement sustainable or environmentally friendly practices on their farms.

Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided.

More information including a speaker list and schedule of events will be coming shortly, so stay tuned!
