HIRING: Special Programs Coordinator @ NFM

Under direct supervision of the Executive Director, the Special Programs Coordinator recruits, trains, and coordinates merchants at the Nashville Farmer’s Market (NFM), including coordinating merchant meetings, communications and application processes as well as coordinating the neighborhood market program and administering the EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) incentive program. This full-time position includes weekend hours and flexible weekday hours.
*Establishes goals, budgets, and performance measures for each program to meet the objectives and revenue goals of NFM.
*Identifies, recruits, and retains market merchants for the NFM and the Neighborhood Market program in accordance with NFM rules, polices and procedures.
*Provides merchant consultation, coordinates merchant meetings and prepares and distributes information to the merchant community to ensure compliance with all local and state regulations, as well as NFM rules, policies and procedures.
*Coordinates educational and community activities including seasonal tastings, music, exhibits and promotional activities.
*Manages the development and implementation of marketing services and grants to support NFM’s mission, programs and facility.
*Manages the EBT Terminal (Electronic Benefits Transfer) and SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) incentive program to promote the SNAP program.
*Raises consumer and community consciousness about NFM and farmers’ markets’ role in the greater Nashville food system through community engagement, conversations, and targeted activities.
*Performs supervisory duties with employees, including training and evaluations.
*Assists the Executive Director in developing statistical reports and in implementing NFM rules, policies and procedures.
*Assists the Business Services Manager to monitor sales reports and market fee payments.
