TALK: Mayor Barry’s Sustainability Initiatives – April 27th
From the Cumberland talk series:
One year ago this month, Mayor Megan Barry convened her Livable Nashville Committee – comprised of public, private, environmental, academic, and philanthropic leaders – and charged its members with developing a shared vision for protecting and enhancing Nashville’s livability and environmental quality.
Building off the work of Mayor Karl Dean’s 2009 Green Ribbon Committee, as well as the formally-adopted sustainability policies from NashvilleNext, their 2017 inaugural report recommends Nashville pursue measurable goals and actions to help make Nashville the greenest city in the Southeast.
Join us for a panel discussion with Mayor Barry’s sustainability staff and the subcommittee chairs for each of Livable Nashville’s five focus-areas: Natural Resources, Climate and Energy, Green Buildings, Waste Reduction and Recycling, and Mobility.
