LES DAMES NASHVILLE NOW ACCEPTING CAREER ADVANCEMENT GRANT APPLICATIONS
Deadline is July 15; Grants to be awarded at a reception on September 9.
Nashville, TN (May 1, 2019) — The Nashville chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier has opened up the application submission process for its annual Career Advancement Grants, a program that has awarded more than $20,000 since it was started in 2017. The Career Advancement Grants are cash grants designed to assist women who are interested in furthering their careers in the fields of food, beverage, hospitality and farming. It can take the form of a continuing education class, conference fee and associated travel expenses, professional development consultation or training, or equipment needed to advance a business.
Les Dames d’Escoffier Nashville is awarding grants in increments of $500 and $1,000, as well as one grant of $2,500 (Note: Any grant that exceeds $600 will be reported as 1099 earnings.) Deadline to submit application is July 15, 2019. Recipients will be notified by August 1, 2019.
—Applicant must be a female resident of the area comprising the membership scope of Les Dames Nashville chapter, which broadly includes Middle Tennessee and Chattanooga.
—Applicant must be actively pursuing her career.
—Applicant must demonstrate a financial need.
—Applicant agrees to attend the Les Dames Nashville Award Reception on September 9, 2019 at The Nashville Food Project (an early evening time to be determined) to accept the award and receive acknowledgement.
